Mobile App Challenge

While research overwhelmingly shows evidence that children benefit from receiving education in their first language, there is a shocking absence of digital tools for education in languages other than English.
On September 8th 2012 Smart4Kids launched Education Apps for All, a challenge to encourage developers to work together to create apps in a variety of languages that target the elementary education level using Art4Apps.org free resource library.

The Objectives of the challenge are to:

  1. Encourage developers, content providers and educators to work together to create educational apps responding to learners’ needs
  2. Inspire them to develop business models that focus on apps at a high level of abstraction and target the global market
  3. Create a dynamic community of developers, educators and content providers willing to collaborate and explore opportunities
  4. Promote the use of Art4Apps.org and other open resource libraries
